ABOUT AUCKLAND EAST

Much of Auckland East is a peninsula that borders the Tāmaki River to the west, the Tāmaki Strait of the Hauraki Gulf, and the Mangemangeroa Creek in the east.

The area was predominantly farmland in the 1840s, with coastal holiday communities developing in the area from the 1910s. The area would later undergo a major redevelopment and become a suburban area of greater Auckland in the 1950s.

The region, specifically the Howick ward, has a population of 157,700, as of June 2023, and is characterised as a socio-economically mixed urban area with a significant multi-cultural population.

Auckland East has a sweeping coastline with views reaching right across the Hauraki gulf. This picturesque setting is being sought after by those looking to build homes, with several new developments being established in the region.

The area of Whitford provides country living with the convenience of being close to the city, with exclusive subdivisions coming to the market. Meanwhile Park Green Estate is another option for home builders and islocated on the shores of the Hingaia Peninsula on the coastline of the Manukau Harbour.

Auckland East includes: The Bays, New Market, Remuera, Epsom, Waiheke Island, Manukau City, Beachlands, Brookby, Clevedon, Whitford, Howick and Mangere Bridge

ABOUT AUCKLAND SOUTH

Auckland South is located on the eastern shores of the Manukau Harbour, and the upper headwaters of the Tāmaki River, with an estimated population of 372,600, as of June 2023.

The area consisted of farmland until the mid-20th century, when construction of the Auckland Southern Motorway led to major suburban development. Adding to that was the formation of Manukau City, which was eventually amalgamated into Auckland.

Manukau is home to a large Polynesian community and the famous Otara Flea Market which operates every Saturday. The area has several kid-friendly attractions, including Rainbow’s End, New Zealand’s largest theme park; Butterfly Creek, where you can walk through the tropical butterfly house and see saltwater crocodiles and farm animals; and Vector Wero Whitewater Park.

The jewel in the crown of Auckland South is the Awhitu Peninsula – home to the Manukau Heads Lighthouse, one of the few in New Zealand that is open to the public. Awhitu Regional Park is a nature-lover’s paradise where you can enjoy mountain biking, swimming, fishing, horse riding and walking.

Auckland South offers residents a wide choice of lifestyles. Housing developments offer an urban setting for those who prefer to be near the city, while tranquil rural living further south can also be achieved.

An 81-hectare development in Karaka, a 40-minute drive from Auckland City, will allow home owners to relax and unwind outside of the city. The development will include a village centre to cater for the local and wider community.

For those looking for a retreat, Pararēkau Island is home to six hectares of bush-covered reserve which has sections available. The area can be reached just off the motorway with the sea only minutes away.

Auckland South includes: Franklin, Karaka, Clarks Beach, Glenbrook, Pukekohe, Waiuku, Drury and Ramarama

Graham and Nicola Kock

Stonewood Homes Auckland East and South is led by Graham and Nicola Kock, who moved to Auckland from South Africa in 2014.

The husband-and-wife duo’s skills complement each other’s well and are no strangers to the construction industry, having previously owned businesses in South Africa focused on designing and delivering various commercial and residential construction projects.

Since moving to NZ, Graham has continued to add to his over 25 years’ experience in various parts of the construction industry having managed large, multi-million dollar construction projects across the North Island over the last 10 years.

Nicola has more than 20 years’ sales experience and a passion for interior design, having successfully taken control of the interiors of various residential projects they have completed over the years.

“We love creating beautiful spaces together, and we can’t imagine a better job than helping to create and build new residential environments and homes for the community.”

Graham and Nicola’s son Tyler is just as interested in the building industry as they are. Having just completed College last year, he is now studying construction management.

The couple are always keen to get involved in community events and look forward to getting to know more locals as they build their business, as well as welcoming new faces to the community.

They have a show home available to view in Park Green Estate, Papakura.
