After 7 years of running his own successful building business, Regan McCormack steps up to take on the Stonewood Homes Franchise for Otago.
Born and bred in Dunedin and drawn to woodwork at school, Regan enrolled at the local Otago Polytechnic to complete the building pre trade course. After successfully completing this course, he then completed his building apprenticeship with another local building firm where he worked for 7 years in total. With his passion and drive, in 2017 Regan established his own company ‘RMC Construction’, where he has successfully completed a wide range of builds, from entry level homes and batches through to multimillion dollar new builds throughout the Otago region.
Regan says he jumped at the opportunity to become a group home builder with a nationwide brand. He says, “it was important for me to join a building franchise that was adapting to the evolving building industry and could offer clients a variety of options”.
Also joining the local Stonewood team, New Homes Consultant Kelvin Middleditch, has worked with Regan for many years. Kelvin is experienced in sales, having worked with hundreds of clients over the past 18 years within the region. You will find him knowledgeable, approachable and honest; qualities that assist in an enjoyable building experience and have led Kelvin to many repeat clients. He believes “Stonewood has the best range of house designs and is known for having excellent systems and processes”.
“Regan is a good listener and he’s reliable” says Kelvin. “He’s also super approachable and friendly which is critical in this industry at the moment where more and more people are picking brands they can trust”.
The pair describe the Otago home building market as “very resilient”. As they are seeing more and more enquiries and builds happening over the last few months.
