Yes, you will not receive the guarantee automatically upon hiring a registered Master Builder. Both you and your builder will need to submit the relevant documents to Master Build Services, and this needs to be done before the building project starts.

Loss of deposit: Covers up to $50,000 or 10% of your contract price, whichever is lower
Non-completion: Covers up to $500,000 or 20% of your contract price, whichever is lower
